Simply wanted to acknowledge and thank the staff involved in rescheduling a telephone consultation for. me. My incoming call was picked up almost instantly, the staff member went off to check with a clinician and promised to call me back. Within 3-4 minutes the call arrived and the problem solved. This may seem small fry when compared to life threatening surgery, but it was hugely appreciated. The Leeds Trust set an example that other major hospitals should learn from.
I write as someone who has being unable to contact anyone medical or administrative by phone or text, on a ward at University College Hospital London for the past 24 hours. And I regret to say this is their shameful 'standard'. So thanks to all at St James and Leeds General Infirmary.
