About: The Aldergate Med. Pract.

Trying to get a face to face appointment with a GP is almost impossible! It’s incredibly frustrating to call at 8am and listen to 5 minutes of instructions to then be told all the appointments have gone I’m not even sure how that works !! I can see how the online booking system can work for most people not needing an urgent appointment and think it’s a move in the right direction however there is no flexibility at all for people who work it seems to be a case of take it or tough ! However on the upside I have found the medical professionals at the surgery are excellent and very helpful when you’re lucky enough to get to see them ….

Dear Patient,

We are sorry that you have had problems getting a same day appointment. We have recently changed our telephone greeting to be shorter and more user friendly, and can usually offer same day appointments for most of the morning. This is occasionally affected by staff sickness. Please could you email us at aldergate.practice@staffs.nhs.uk with details of the date and time you called so that we can see why there were no appointments available.

I will pass on your kind words about the clinicians to them.
