About: Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response

(as a service user),

I took unwell with adrenaline crisis a few weeks ago, I was confused and disoriented while waiting for emergency medication to kick in.

The nurses (who were also amazing) phoned for an ambulance and Paddy and Alan turned up. They made me feel at ease straight away and made the situation easier through humour. They took my complex history on board from the nurses.

They treated me as a person and made a very difficult situation much easier.

Good afternoon aquariusef63,

I would like to begin by thanking you for taking the time to share your experience of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. It was reassuring to learn how Paddy and Alan used humour to ease the situation you were in and how they treated you as a person. Feedback such as this lifts the morale of the paramedics involved in what is a particularly challenging period. I would like to share your feedback with the clinicians who attended to you on the day and in order to locate them I would require the following information:

o Date and approximate time of the incident

o The address the ambulance was dispatched to

If you are happy to share this information, I can be contacted at:

Maggie.hamilton@nias.hscni.net

I hope you are recovering well.

Kind regards,

Maggie
