"Fantastic medical and support staff"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Critical Care Unit

(as a service user),

I was brought into Monklands hospital after falling unwell. I was not conscious when I came in but from the minute I woke up today all the staff have been fabulous. They really do care, nothing is too much hassle and my named nurse Eilidh and Student nurse Amy have been incredibly reassuring, have spent ample time with me to make sure I know what’s going on and have been overall a pleasure to deal with.

Amy and Eilidh really are a credit to the team and monklands ICU. Amy will go on to be a fantastic nurse I am sure. Compassion and empathy are both alive and healthy in this ward!

Dear JS5311

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about the level of care and reassurance you have received from both Eilidh and Amy within the ICU team. It must have been a very scary time for you waking up in hospital and I am so pleased that the team were able to support you through this.

I will make sure that your feedback is passed on to the staff involved and the wider team.

With best wishes for your ongoing recovery

Lynn McTavish
