(as a service user),

I fell at  home and had hurt my ribs, knee and hand.  Checked with NHS 24 website and as pinky finger was miss shaped was informed to visit local ED department, University Hospital Hairmyres.  On attendance, 6.30pm, ED was busy but quickly triaged and sent to minor injuries for review then to x-ray to check hand/fingers.  Noted that pinky was miss shaped and fractured, strapped up and sent home with pain relief to await orthopedic review if required.  Great service from friendly staff who couldn't do enough, in, reviewed and home within 3hrs.  NHS a its best
