"Community midwife Care"

About: Midwifery / Midwifery - West

(as the patient),

I have recently just given birth over a week ago and the midwife community care team have been superb with making sure both my child and myself are healthy, safe and happy.

I hadn’t of had the best of birth experience however the aftercare I had received was great.

Hi @ZMcD29

Congratulations on the birth of your little one, and I would like to express thanks to you for taking the time to comment on the wonderful after care from the community team. Community midwives are an essential part of care delivery for families engaging in maternity services so I am delighted to read that you feel the support has been high quality.

However, I also note that you felt the birth experience wasn't great, if there is anything you wish to address in relation to this or if this is an opportunity for us to learn as a service then please do reach out to me via dg.patientservices@nhs.scot and we can review more formally.

Best wishes
