"Treated with respect and reverence"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Cardiology The Glebe Practice

(as a service user),

I attended my GP, Dr. Bigwood, at The Glebe Practice, Saxilby, Lincoln (probably the best doctor I have ever seen) and because of the symptoms I was presenting he referred me to The Cardiology Department at Lincoln County Hospital.

I arrived at Clinic 3 and was immediately attended by staff who explained in detail what would happen during my visit.

I was made to feel very comfortable and at ease. I felt I could trust the staff and I felt valued as a person and was treated with the utmost consideration throughout.

I was given an ultrasound scan as I expected but because of the results it was decided that I should have an ECG.

Following that I was fitted with a 7 day monitor and everything was explained to me in detail at every stage.

My treatment was continuous and I was not left waiting at all and nothing seemed too much trouble.

My overall impression was one of absolute confidence in all of the staff who dealt with me - I knew I was in good hands, all staff acted efficiently, effectively and professionally.

Whilst in the department I noticed that all other patients were also being treated with the same professional courtesy. The high standards of cleanliness and good order were also very evident and as far as I am concerned the general demeanour of staff could not be praised highly enough.

I was treated with respect and reverence and was kept informed and reassured with great communication demonstrated at every stage.

I was 100% involved in my treatment which could not be improved upon as far as I am concerned.

Thanks are due to all concerned, all members of staff in Clinic 3 and the hospital in general.
