"Angels and ministers of grace defend us!"

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

Dialed 111 who strongly advised me to take the ambulance that they had called.

I did as advised, the ambulance drivers being most helpful. Not sure why ambulance drivers are there to keep us company for two hours after we arrive at hospital. Not their job!

I was very glad they were there, because none of the staff bothered too much with me.

Finally brought into a room, where I was ignored for as long as possible. I was then assaulted with a needle into the arm to take blood. Several weeks later I still have involuntary spasms.

After blood pressure taken, lots of blood extracted from me, no doubts to feed nostrafu, and several hours later of no food, nothing really to drink, I was taken to a room with the air conditioning running. So on top of all the discomfort that I was in, I was now freezing cold as well.

Hearing elderly people screaming " Please no, help me!!!* does make things a little disconcerting. We won't mention the discussion going on between the staff, as to why someone had gone missing, and turns out they were sent for an unnecessary X-ray,

My advice to anybody in a&e, do not go to sleep, you may find extremities that you need, might go missing :)

It turns out in the end, had someone come over to me and had a 10-minute chat, we would have worked out what the problem was.
