"What are you doing?????"

While I will be the first to appreciate being able to book advanced appointments online I don't understand why when I phone the practice I am told to go on google and search for the online booking form as we no longer take bookings over the phone! Why aren't we able to access online bookings through the NHS app. I found this extremely stressful and can only imagine how your elderly patients are going to deal with this 'new' way of booking. when I finally found the form I had to answer several questions on why I needed to see a GP all whilst trying to do my own job. If an urgent on the day appointment was needed can see why a triage system is beneficial but not advanced bookings.

While I fully understand that as patients we are never happy with doctor's appointment availability as someone that is on both sides of general practice this system seems particularly difficult and long winded.
