"I have been refused twice at the pain clinic at gwent hospital "

About: Royal Gwent Hospital / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I have been suffering with terrible pain on my low and middle back for 10 months, my GP doctor has referred me to be seen at the pain clinic, which for the second time I was refused to be accessed from pain clinic.

do I need to be in a wheelchair to be seen by a specialist? why do they keep refusing my referrals from my GP doctor. I am the one who's in pain every single day, the medication I'm on its not working.

I feel I have been ignored and no one GP or pain clinic cares about my condition at all. No tests or treatments have been done on me.

Update posted by jorgeoteso (the patient)

Hi there I have been contact by the pain clinic and they have gave me a reasonable explanation why I was refused from them.

I totally agree with them when they said to me before I been assessed by a specialist in my case an orthopaedic, they can't do nothing to me as pain clinic is a treatment clinic - so the main problem was my GP wasn't referred me to a specialist first.
