(as a service user),

My partner became 42 weeks pregnant, which is a situation nobody really wants to get into because of the growing risks of still-birth. 

My partner was feeling very emotional about being in this position and felt guilty about how our choices in her birth plan could risk the safety of our baby. My partner also felt very strongly against being induced. 

The midwives at Treliske were wonderful and helped to help my partner to feel supported, respected and reassured through the delivery of our baby, and although the birth couldn't go completely to plan, the midwives helped us to follow our birthplan as close as we could, and we felt our wishes and choices were respected despite some compromise.

The staff at the Treliske delivery suite were kind, compassionate, respectful, and very professional.

As a team made up on midwives, maternity support workers obstetricians and anaesthetists, we are passionate about and work together to make every experience in a families pregnancy, birth and postnatal period a positive one, even when there is deviation from original hopes and plans.

We are so pleased to hear that we were able to make you feel supported, respected and reassured and treated with kindness and compassion and I will share this with the team to ensure they are aware of the positive impact they are having on a families journey.
