"A programme of restorative dental work"

About: Glasgow Dental Hospital and School / Dental

(as a service user),

I have attended several appointments during which I underwent restorative dental work.

From my first appointment this experience has been excellent.

The ground floor reception have been very helpful.

The reception staff on level six are always welcoming, helpful and very pleasant.

I first met Dr Forgie for consultation and planning. Dr Forgie was a pleasure to deal with. He was very professional, gave excellent advice and explained each and every avenue of treatment and potential outcomes.

I have spent the majority of treatment time with Dr Cocozza and a variety of dental nurses. This has been an excellent series of dental sessions.

Dr Cocozza is a consummate dental professional with admirable people skills. I had a reassuring feeling of being looked after by him and the dental nurses who are, again, a credit to their profession.

The radiography department were also a pleasure to deal with. They are caring and informative.

My overall impression has reversed any past concerns that I may have had about visiting the dentist My experience has been totally positive and the Glasgow Dental Hospital and School is, to my mind, a centre of excellent practice in many respects.

I have worked in health care for many years and have rarely seen the team cohesiveness and professionalism, across the board, that I have seen here. I get the impression that every team player likes working at the Dental School. If this is so, then it is very special and you should all be proud.

Our team will be absolutely thrilled to read such a wonderful review of our service, thank you.

Feedback of any kind is invaluable to us, however when a patient has accessed care over several appointments it is especially helpful to understand their experience.

Many patients present with negative perceptions of dental care, unfortunately. We are acutely aware of this and our teams always hope to make each and every treatment journey a positive one.

It takes a wide variety of people to deliver care but we need support from our colleagues “working behind the scenes” who make our clinics run professionally and efficiently. It is so very kind of you to mention everyone in your post.

I will be very happy to pass on your thanks to Doctors Forgie & Cocozza, our Dental Nurses, Radiographers and medical records staff. I know they will be delighted that you were so pleased with the care and attention they provided.
