Endoscopy department north devon healthcare
staff very nice but busy so only paid attention to you when they had to. No-body asked me how I felt except for one of the theatre nurses.
Felt it was like a conveyer belt when it came to the procedure and they got people up (without asking whether a person felt ready to get up) and discharged very quickly - I wasn't really ready to be discharged quite so soon as I could hardly walk in a straight line.
When it came to giving me the results of the procedure the healthcare assistant/nurse just read from the report sheet and gave me a couple of handouts rather than talking to me/explaining anything.
When I was in the theatre I think they were in a rush (they were probably running late as I had been waiting for a while).
I really don't want to seem critical as they were doing a good job - just a few more moments to show care may have helped - and everyone was nice. I can understand that when they have so many people through the department each day they cannot really get invested in anyone.
