"Awful Ante Natal clinic waits"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

Once again sat waiting for an anti natal clinic appointment with the consultant/doctor . Last time waiting 2 hours , this time already at an hour wait . Our appointment was at 9am speaking to the Nurse on duty . The doctor's haven’t even arrived to start the clinic ! It’s now 10am and no sign . There are a lot of women here pregnant obviously, uncomfortable and stressed. We have had to cancel another appointment this morning, rushed to get here on time . No information is given , just have to wait . Totally unacceptable .

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and I am sorry to read about the issues you faced at your recent visit to the Antenatal Clinic.

Your concerns were shared with the Manager and Lead Nurse for the department. They have advised that they have been discussed in the wider team meeting to work on improvements. The issue was logged as an incident as well and this will enable to team to monitor for this continues.

The team would like to apologise for the delays in your appointment and have assured that some improvements are being put into place to ensure this does not happen again and also to improve communication in the department.
