About: Dr Maassarani & Partners

After 15 or so attempts of being cut of after 35 seconds when trying to call to make an appointment I e-mailed the practice e-mail address I had because I naively assumed the lines were down. I then went the practice on my lunch to try and make an appointment and the receptionist advised me this was not possible and my only options were to try the patches system on line or come back at 7.30am and queue up. I asked were appointments released on the app like previous years, the receptionist didn't now and she didn't know why the lines were cutting of after 35 seconds. This is an absurd way to deal with patients and a shocking process. She was perfectly polite but how could she not know if the lines had been down or not? I personally have not needed a GP in a few years and I was told how badly the practice had declined since the take over but didn't believe it. It's actually worse than I imagined. I will try the patches system at 7am whilst I queue up outside but getting an appointment should not be this much time and effort. I will look to change GP's. I did also receive an SMS inviting me to PPG event on 7th May for coffee and cake with an e-mail to respond to, I've tried mailing to get an appointment but got no response. I get all the difficulties the NHS faces but how can you take over a practice and just end all lines of communication?
