About: Watling Street Surgery

On Friday, I phoned through to the surgery in the afternoon having left it too late. The lady who answered the phone was incredibly helpful - I think realising I really did need to see someone. Whilst it was impossible to fit me in that day, she organised a hub appointment on Saturday where I was seen, diagnosed and given the appropriate meds to help my situation. I genuinely think I would have been in a&e by Sunday otherwise.

To me, the way the lady who took my original call listened and dealt with me was excellent, matched by the locum who saw me the following day.

I believe too often that the people behind the desk get blamed and criticised and indeed sometimes abused by patients when they can't magic an immediate appointment or deliver an immediate response. I felt respected and valued by both people who dealt with me and am very grateful for their help.
