"Helpful social prescriber"

About: Community Services / Social Prescribers

(as a carer),

My disabled husband and myself moved to Crieff from Aberdeenshire last year. My husband was finding it difficult to leave the house and did not know what organisations were available for social interaction. We were referred to Heather, our local social prescriber, who arranged for and took him to a Men's Club, a Lunch Club and cinema visits. She has also put him on a waiting list for a walking buddy to try and help him regain confidence in walking.

I was so pleased to hear you had a positive experience. I was at the lunch club today and it was great to get such a happy wave from yourself and see your husband involved and enjoying himself.
