"Sapphire gardens and horticulture"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as a service user),

I really enjoy tooled sessions at these places as I feel really satisfied with a lot of things you can achieve with tools,  recently  in sapphire gardens we have dug an area for a pond and we have inserted the pond liner and dug around the pond and filled it with gravel round the outside and we are putting plants round about it and we have also created a sand pit.

I would just say thank you for this feedback. It is great to know that you are enjoying the sessions offered to you in both Horticulture and Sapphire Gardens.

The Diamond Resource Centre team work incredibly hard to ensure these sessions run smoothly all staff report how much they enjoy supporting patients in these areas. We have a great working relationship with the Main Horticulture Team. I am sure you will agree they always make you feel welcome and like us take great pride in the job they do.

Our Day unit Vocational Lead and one of our Technical Instructors in particular has shown great commitment in the developing the Sapphire gardens area. I have personally attended the area with them about a month ago and have seen the work you have contributed to and I have to say I was quite amazed how much has been achieved in such a short space of time since the programme started.

I am especially interested in the pond plans I know our team have planned for this for some time and its great to see progress with this. I will make sure I pop over again when patient sessions are running so you can show me yourself all further developments made.

I would like to finish by saying none of this would not be possible if not for the dedicated efforts by yourself and other patients who consistently attend the programmed sessions.

Please keep up the hard work and thank you again.

Take care

Lee
