"My MRI scan at SWAH Radiology"

About: South West Acute Hospital / Radiology

(as the patient),

I arrived about 10 mins before the stated time and was asked to sit in waiting area 3. I had just filled in my consent form when a very friendly nurse called my name. I was taken straight into a cubicle as my scan was for my eye. She put a canula in my arm and I didn't feel a thing. It wasn't long until I was taken into the actual MRI scanner room. Two nurses explained what the machine would do. I was made comfortable with Downtown Country playing on the earphones. I was given a "balloon" to press if I needed them to stop the machine and they reassured me before they left. After my scan the nurse gently removed the canula and asked if I felt okay before I went home. I was less than an hour and a half in the hospital and I was very pleased with how I was treated by all the staff in the radiology department.
