"Mental health injection"

In the last six months I have had issues with the Pennington unit at Leigh.

It all started one Monday when I went to pick a prescription up for a very important injection. I was told the prescription wasn’t ready, please come back tomorrow. So on Tuesday I went back for the prescription, took it to the pharmacy who told us that it needed to be ordered as they don’t keep it in stock. So I spoke to the pharmacist who told me it would be there after 11am on Wednesday. So I let Pennington unit know that it would be about 12 o clock on Wednesday that I would go for my injection.

Now I’m on my third trip to Pennington unit . So on Wednesday i phoned the pharmacy multiple times but no answer. Because I know sometimes they have trouble with this prescription, I had to go to the pharmacy. My prescription not arrived  so off I go again to the Pennington unit . My injection was due today after all the stress I had and used all my carer hours I still not had my injection.

So the pharmacy said it would arrive after one so a nurse from the unit said she would pick my prescription up and give me my injection at home . But the fridge part of the delivery was not there so no injection on Wednesday.

So I’m now on my fourth trip to pharmacy, fourth trip to Pennington unit and used all my care hours plus 👿and very very annoyed. Finally on Thursday I got my injection. It was a very bad week. I struggled with my mental health for weeks after.

Recently I have been for my prescription, I collect it every two weeks on Mondays. But it wasn’t ready again. The person never said sorry, just said there was nobody to sign it and told me I needed to phone before going for my prescription in future.  I hope I’m not going to have all these problems again.
