I went to this GP a while ago after experiencing heavy periods and severe pain for years - I initially got put on hormone tablets to 'solve' the pain (and by solve, this is still an ongoing issue).
Not only have I been on 4 different brands and have switched tablet types, I was referred for an ultrasound and told there was nothing wrong, even though this pain is a recurrent issue, with back pain, has nearly made me pass out and has made me sick on many occasions - the symptoms could go on.
Instead of a follow up appointment after the referral, I was told the results over the phone, with no solution to my issue, and that sometimes 'women just have a heavy period' - is pain that leads to nearly passing out normal? Is overheating and going into a cold sweat normal? I'm nowhere near menopausal age.
I feel like I've been fobbed off too many times and have contemplated switching practices, I don't feel listened to, and feel like nothing will ever get done about this.
"Disappointing."
