"Staff were excellent"

About: Mater Hospital / Accident & Emergency Mater Hospital / Cardiology Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Patient care services Royal Victoria Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

Took ill with a painful chest - went to the Mater and admitted into F ward- with heart attack . Treatment from all staff was excellent.

Went to Royal for angiogram and had to have stent inserted. Staff were excellent - especially Gillian and Sheryl - both nurses- looked after me so well. Also, ambulance drivers from Mater to Royal so nice to me.

Only one (unnamed) nurse (A&E) was unpleasant to me and had no bedside manner.

So thankful to be alive!

Good morning Issy65,

Thank you for taking the time to share your valued feedback. We are always grateful to those who share their experiences of the services they have received. It was heartening to learn how nice the Ambulance drivers from the Mater to the Royal were with you. As an organisation we are committed to consistently show compassion, professionalism, and respect for the patients we care for.

I wish you the best with your recuperation.

Kind regards,

Maggie

Hi

I am sorry to hear that you felt a nurse in the Emergency department was rude to you and would like to discuss this with you further in order to improve practice.

Hopefully you are making a speedy recovery.

If you are happy to do this you can contact me on 02895046975.
