"Meningioma brain tumours missed on MRIs"

About: Cancer Services / Radiotherapy Neurology / Neurology/Neurosurgery Outpatients Area 3A Ophthalmology / Ophthalmology Outpatients Area 6A

(as the patient),

Three meningiomas missed on two MRIs.

Basically told that I was a menopausal women with headaches.

Only looked at past MRIs again as I was so persistent. The headaches had become unbearable.

Radiologists, Ophthalmologists and Neurologists had failed me. All had dismissed me and made me feel like they thought I was a time waster. I cannot put into words how that made me feel and now I would always question a medic.  I naively thought that if you were in such chronic daily pain you would be listened to .

I have now had Radiotherapy on one tumour that was inoperable and waiting for results once swelling on the brain  has decreased. I should  also hopefully find out the plan for the other two meningiomas at that time.

I am now being given the level of care that I would expect from NHS.
