"Amazing tool for dealing with anxiety"

About: Renal Unit / Renal Unit Arts Therapy

(as a service user),

An arts worker attended the unit while we were on dialysis..She assisted us with individual pieces of art, including weaving and colour work. This not only passed the time but it was also an amazing tool for dealing with the anxiety around the dialysis process. I know myself and other patients found this extremely beneficial.

Hi I am Joan the clinical sister in the renal unit.

Firstly I would like to thank you for completing care opinion

I am delighted that you found this project beneficial and enjoyable, as staff we all enjoyed seeing the art work displayed, the product of your hard work has added a bit of colour to the ward.

This was a trial of diversional therapy, which unfortunately we no longer have funding for.

I will however pass onto the senior leadership team how beneficial you found this in dealing with the anxiety around the dialysis process.

I wish you well with your future treatments.
