"The team were very supportive"

About: Grantham & District Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I was admitted for day surgery end of April and was very nervous.

When having my blood tests done I passed out and the team, led by Elizabeth were amazing. We joked about this throughout the day.

Whilst waiting for my surgery I was suffering serious anxiety and the team were very supportive and did so well in keeping me calm.

I felt really cared for.

Dear A Hay

Thank you for these lovely comments and I will ensure Elizabeth sees them as well as the rest of the team.

It’s such a morale boost for them when patients take the time to send in their comments so we really appreciate it and as matron I am really pleased to read you felt cared for as it is a very anxious time waiting to go to theatres.

I hope you are recovering well

KR

Julie
