"District nurse treated each one of use with respect"

Recently, we had an elderly family member of end of life care. DNs were in daily to help with care and administration of medicines.

One DN in particular was absolutely outstanding and made us all feel so much at ease with the process. Aileen within the Knightswood are in Glasgow is one of the best DNs I have come across. Aileen came in and instantly felt part of the family. She understood our way of dealing with what was happening, trying to keep the situation as light as possible - with as many laughs as possible!

No only this, but Aileen was incredible with our family member. He was not the easiest person to deal with in the end, however she never too offence to his outburst and laughed it off with the rest of us. Although our family member denied pain, Aileen done suitable checks in order to provide the correct medication because he was in fact in a lot of pain - proud and stubborn as ever.

We all cannot thank Aileen enough for everything she done for our family member and us over this difficult time. She treated each one of use with respect and kept us involved as much as possible. Anyone would be lucky enough to have Aileen as their DN!
