"A life changing help for my family"

About: East Kilbride Locality Support Service / Health Visiting

(as a service user),

Over the past 7 months Mary from the Health Visiting team Early Years has been a fantastic help for helping me manage challenging behaviour after my children and I were the victims of a horrendous crime.

Mary has provided both emotional support and essential guidance in helping tackle problem behaviour, the tots have went from being really challenging and showing signs of distress to feeling calmer and happier and helping me as a parent cope with trauma while supporting my young family.

Mary provides tried and tested advice, has bonded with the children, is eager to support the children in multiple ways offering a holistic approach. When challenges pursue Mary offers additional approaches in a compassionate and professional manner.

I really don't know what I would have done had I not had Mary's guidance and support. I was completely overwhelmed when I asked for help and now I feel positive and hopeful. The children are also happier and beginning to flourish. She is a wonderful woman and this service is essential. A huge thank you to Mary!
