"Treated me with kindness and no judgement"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Gynaecology (Ward 13)

(as the patient),

I attended Wishaw Women’s Health Unit and they were so helpful and supportive. I was given appointments quickly and all questions answered. All nurses treated me with kindness and no judgement.

The doctor was very supportive and made me feel safe and secure about the procedure.

On the day I attended the hospital for a surgical abortion there were anti abortion protesters outside the hospital. This was really difficult for me to see and made me feel ashamed at my decision. Their presence was very upsetting for myself and my husband.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent attendance at our Women's Health Unit. I am glad you were treated with kindness and no judgment from our team of nurses and doctor and you were made to feel safe and secure.

I am sorry to hear that on the day you attended the hospital for your procedure that protesters were outside and you and your husband were made to feel ashamed about your decision to undergo a difficult and personal procedure. It has clearly been a really difficult time for you and your husband and I am sorry that you were made to feel this way when attending our facility.

Thank you for your lovely comments regarding the staff. They will appreciate your feedback.

Thank you again for sharing
