"I’ll not forget the kindness and care you showed me"

About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Dietetics

(as a service user),

I was nervous about going into hospital. I have serious issues with mobility and don’t adjust to new surroundings well.

I received a wonderful welcome when I arrived. I was enabled to be as independent as my condition would allow. Assistance was not forced on me but I had the comfort in knowing that those working on the ward were happy to help me when I needed.

All the staff were wonderful and were generous with their time. Whether this was a chat with the cleaning team or the medical staff.

I left the ward refreshed, happier, in better shape and feeling I ad been cared for.

Thank you everyone on ward B1. I’ll not forget the kindness and care you showed me.  It took a very short time to realise my reality under the auspices of the Dumfries and Galloway Social service. I arrived back on earth with a big bump!!

Dear Andrewvc23

Thank you for your lovely feedback following your time in B1.

It is always a pleasure to receive positive comments and I am so glad that you were so well looked after and staff members were able to spend time with you.

I will forward your feedback to appropriate parties for dissemination.

I hope that you are now on the road to recovery.
