"Reassuring literally every 'step' of the way"

About: Integrated Community Services Service Delivery Unit / Pershore and Upton Neighbourhood Team

(as the patient),

I am in my 80s and after a fall at home and then spending 8 weeks in hospital was finally allowed back home. One of the services I required was physio at home to help with my mobility and to improve my walking all over again.

It was wonderful when Shelia, a physiotherapist from Pershore Medical in Worcestershire, visited me and so the start of my rehabilitation began.

First of all Shelia  was so lovely, kind, patient and reassuring literally every 'step' of the way. Helping me to walk first with a frame then a stick and giving me strengthening exercises to complete every day.  After 6-8 weeks it was time to say goodbye and I will so miss her constant positiveness and encouragement she gave to me to continue all the exercises we went through together therefore enabling  me to get stronger.

I can't thank Shelia enough.

Thank you for taking the time to share your story of receiving rehabilitation from Sheila one of the Neighbourhood Team Physiotherapists. It is really positive to hear how well you have been supported and how you have progressed with your recovery. It is also so good to hear that you will be carrying on with your exercises.
