"I could not have been in safer hands"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Surgical Skin Team

(as the patient),

Over the past year it has been necessary for me to have some basal carcinoma issues treated. In 2023 I had a minor op on my left leg to deal with some skin cancer and in 2024, two more areas on my chest and my back had to be treated (both treated at the same appointment).

During both of these surgeries I could not have been in safer hands. The skill and dedication of all staff involved was second to none. Both surgeries took place at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert, Stirlingshire and I cannot praise the surgical staff highly enough.

Unfortunately, after the first surgery I was not asked to give my opinion on my treatment. However, following my second surgery I was given that opportunity. I would like to commend both David, the staff nurse and Maureen his assistant for the skill, care and understanding which they afforded me. Whilst being completely professional, they also succeeded in making me feel totally relaxed when I was feeling apprehensive. Please extend my thanks and gratitude to them both for a job exceedingly well done.

Dear Russk,

What great news to hear that you are pleased with your treatment.

It is what we always aspire to, and is reassuring to hear that on both occasions you felt in safe hands.

Hopefully your wounds are healing well and you didn't find it too uncomfortable afterwards.

Thanks again

David
