I would like to thank the the nurses and surgeons who looked after my brother in ED, and ward 18 . My brother who had cerebral palsy was admitted unresponsive to ED early on the Monday morning, and due to other medical conditions my brother was unable to communicate with staff to tell them what was wrong. Yet, the nurses and medics in ED worked quickly to diagnose the cause of his illness. Unfortunately, we were informed that my brother had a terminal event and the best management was comfort.
With this I would like to thank the surgeon on call that day for the time he took explaining the examinations, diagnosis and treatment options, and his compassion. I would also like to thank the nurses in ED, especially Staff Nurse Fiona. Despite the department being very busy, she ensured my brother was comfortable, and nothing was too much trouble. She is an asset to your hospital. I would also like to thank the staff in ward 18, for their care.
"Nothing was too much trouble"
