"Paramedic was calm, professional and reassuring"

About: Urgent Community Response / Bassetlaw Urgent Community Response Team

(as a service user),

I experienced severe flashings I'm left eye and left side numbness, which came on quite suddenly. Contacted 111 as it was 11.30pm.

Was first advised a Clinician would contact within 5 hours, however symptoms worsened and I updated 111, a paramedic came to my home within 30 minutes..

After all medical Observations, Paramedic had concerns and rang DRI. Paramedic was calm, professional and reassuring at all times.

Advised to attend DRI to be seen in A&E, as I was independent mobile he could take me to DRI himself.

I'm sorry I ve forgot his name, he's a credit to the service .

From there admitted to stroke ward for further tests.
