A speedy and caring service is how I would describe my short visit to the hospital following a GP referral. 

Both Katie and Georgia from the Rapid Cancer Diagnostic Service (RCDS) unit kept me well informed and explained everything so I wasn't worried about attending the hospital for a scan. 

I hadn't heard of the RCDS service so the speed took me by surprise.  A worrying time was made less worrying by getting an appointment for a scan and the results quickly.

Thanks for the great service.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of our RCDS service on care opinion. I am pleased to hear that you found our service to be both prompt and compassionate. Providing efficient and supportive care is part of our person centred approach to care delivery. Thank you for acknowledging Katie and Georgia’s efforts in keeping you informed and alleviating any concerns you may have had about undergoing a scan. they will be delighted to hear they alleviated your concerns. Clear communication and patient reassurance are integral to our approach to care. I'm delighted that the speed of our service exceeded your expectations it’s our aim to provide timely care to all patients referred to us. I understand that waiting for medical appointments and results can be an anxious time, and am glad that we could alleviate some of that worry by promptly scheduling your scan and delivering the results expediently.

Your appreciation means a lot to us. We are committed to delivering high-quality care to all our patients.
