"Failure to receive an appointment "

About: Glovers Lane Surgery

The telephone appointment system in the surgery is ridiculous. I have been on 2 weeks annual leave and tried everyday to get an appointment with my GP due to extreme anxiety and really struggling. You are told to start calling from 8am.

Everytime the telephone connects it starts by telling you that there is a high volume of calls and then automatically you are number 30 in the queue (every day 30 people call the phone which is highly unlikely as the number never changes)

You are kept on the phone from 8am until 8:45 occasionally until 9am to then be told all appointments have gone for the day.

I called about my daughter last week and was told a doctor would call back, they did but 10 hours later and the appointment was for 4 days later?

I appreciate that the nhs is under a lot of pressure but for someone who never calls a doctor unless it’s serious this is just inexcusable.
