"Very supportive and understanding of my needs"

About: Airdrie Locality Support Service / Integrated Rehab Team

(as a service user),

The Airdrie rehab team have been amazing with myself, they have understood and supported my physical needs for about the last 8 moths, all I needed to do was phone them and they would get everything.

I would like to give a big thank you to Claire, my physiotherapist. She has been very supportive and understanding of my needs, she has been with me all through the as 8 months of mixed emotions.

Claire has also managed to get me my adapted equipment round my house. She had also emailed my doctor to request that my medication does not get stopped or halved because I still need this medication.

I got my outside handrails at my back door to enable to hung my washing out now. I am a bit sad that I have to move  on to the next part of my recovery as I have to let Claire go. But I need to move on so that I can get recover and get back to being the person  I was before the injury.

So to the rehab team thank you and to Claire a big thank  you  for everything  you are a star 🌟 

It has been a pleasure to work with you but I am sad but happy that I have to move on to the next phase of my recovery.

Thank you for taking the time to post such positive feedback for the team and in particular Claire, one of our physiotherapists.

The team have been privileged to have the opportunity to work with you through this part of your recovery. Claire and the staff get great satisfaction supporting the people that they work with to regain their independence. I am glad to hear that Claire treated you with both respect and empathy for your situation. It is marvelous to hear that she supported you with other aspects of your care, such as equipment and also contacting your GP to discuss medication. I am much obliged that you went to the effort of posting such great feedback which I have shared with Claire and the rest of the team.

We are facing challenges just now due to the combination of high demand for our services, combined with some ongoing staffing issues, so your recognition of the good work by Claire and the team is very much appreciated.
