"Human Care"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

The facilities at the QE A+E were amazing

The room sizes, privacy etc were fantastic, much better than any other hospital I've been in.

My Grandmother was admitted with a choking episode, in the context of her approaching the end of her life by natural causes.

The amount of care given to her, my mother and myself who had come in to be with her overnight was excellent.

The staff were warm, and treated her with humanity and respect.

The nurses in particular listened to our concerns.

We are tremendously grateful to everyone involved in her assessment and care, and appreciate that the staff held on to their humanity even in the face of the immense and ever increasing strain on their systems.
