"I will always remember the support you gave"

About: Children’s Services / Health Visiting

(as a service user),

I gave birth to my son in September 2023 and was assigned to health visitors Benny  & Linda  (WHSCT - Omagh Hospital). Both Benny and Linda were exceptional in the support they provided to my family but in particular to me as a first time mummy. 

They were both on hand to provide advice, reassurance and a compassionate approach in the early months of my son’s life. They were professional and carried out their roles with warmth and care, taking a very mother centred approach. I feel very fortunate to have had Linda & Benny’s support and would like to acknowledge the invaluable contribution they have made to my journey but also to many other mummys in the Western Trust area. Thank you both - I will always remember the support you gave me, at a time when I needed it the most.

Firstly thank you so much for taking the time to write about your recent experiences and how positive this journey for you has been to date following the birth of your Son.

Motherhood can be quite daunting in the early days with it's many challenges but I can see from your experience it was made easier with the support of our dedicated health visiting team and this will be warmly appreciated by the staff mentioned.

We all hope that you continue to enjoy your baby now and in the future years to come.

Thank you CD&FoD for taking the time to share your experience and highlight the wonderful work our Health Visitors and Child Health Assistants do. Our staff are dedicated to helping families with their breastfeeding journey and your feedback shows we are achieving this.
