About: HMP Wakefield / Substance Misuse Service

(as a service user),

 

Generally I have found NHS services in prison to be not helpful.  However Drug & Alcohol Recovery Services with Neil and Emma are amazing. Possibly the only proper bit of support I've had my whole time in HMP Wakefield.

Mental Health Services which I really need never come to see you. They offer no support unless you're in absolute crisis they don't wanna know you.

As for health care, the medication nurses are very helpful, they show full respect and speak to you how they should.
