Anything else?
It's disappointing that QE can't be bothered to respond to any of the preceding comments, why have a board like this if no one responds? I had to wait for three and a half hours for a five minute appointment at the fracture clinic on Friday. One of the receptionists is brusque to the point of rudeness and no one seems to knw what is happening. There are insufficient chairs, and some of the plastic on those is split with dirty foam filling poking through. A drunken man was making a nuisance of himself and there were badly behaved chidren running around. Many people brought smelly food to eat (unsurprising with a three to four hour wait), many were distressed at having to feed the parking meters at great expense. It's surely not beyond the wit if those 'manage' this department to run the clinics separately, first appointments seen by one doctor, return appointments which generally take no longer that ten minutes at a separate session, perhaps timetabled for the afternoon. Of course, the attitude is that our time doesn't matter. Well, it does and treating the public in this way is quite unacceptable. Having said this, I have no complaints about the medical staff, but perhaps they could be allowed to manage their own clinic and the money saved by sacking the managers could employ more front line staff.
