"Empathetic, understanding and friendly"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Respiratory medicine

(as a service user),

I was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in 2021 at the RDE Exeter and had an operation in Derriford shortly after to remove a lobe.

Later that year i started on a targeted gene therapy tablet. This has a few side effects. I have regular scans, blood tests and support from the Lung Specialist nurses at the RDE. They have been 5 star in their care of me. They respond quickly to enquiries, sorting out solutions (eg when I had Covid ) They are always empathetic, understanding and friendly. I can't rate them highly enough. 100% star standard of care.
