"Keep up the good work"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I was referred to Mr Flood's outpatients clinic after having a transvaginal scan.

On the day of my appointment I was seen by Nurse Specialist Nicky Holvey. Nicky was supported in the appointment by Healthcare Assistant Jen, Student Nurse Amaia and Dr AJ.

From the minute I walked into the room they were all so friendly which put my at ease.  Nicky explained in detail the procedure and gave me ample time to ask questions before I gave my consent to the procedure.
During the procedure my dignity was maintained at all times and Nicky talked me though each step of the procedure with Amaia being a great hand holder.
Nicky explained that I had 4 polyps in my uterus and gave me the opportunity to view the screen as well as the photo they had taken.
Nicky reassured me that everything else was healthy and then explained when to expect in terms of timeframe for my biopsy and smear results.
Nicky then explained the next procedure that I will have and again the timeframe for this to take place. Nicky once again gave me time to answer further questions regarding the next procedure etc..
I can't thank them all enough for being so friendly and reassuring with what for me has been anxious time. Because of this I feel less worried about having my next procedure.
Keep up the good work - you are all a credit to the NHS 😀

Thank you!

Dear neptunere68

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this wonderful feedback for our team following your recent visit to Gynaecology outpatients at Lincoln County hospital. As a team we appreciate how worrying it can be having to attend our clinic. It is always lovely to hear that the team were able to put you at ease whilst providing you with the care and support you required during your appointment.

Kind Regards

Tanya Wilson
