We went to a and e after we phoned 999 for our 6 month old baby as he started to projectile vomit 3 times, go grey and struggled to catch his breath the ambulance could not get cleared so we were told it was quicker if we drove which we did, when we arrived at a and e the reception checked us in we waited to be triaged meanwhile he projectile vomited a further 3 times and was still struggling to catch his breath, eventually he got triaged was told it would not be long to be seen, this was at in the late evening.
We were also told someone will get him anti sickness medication. He was settled and 3 times a nurse or doctor came to the room called him the wrong name and left. Not one person gave him any anti sickness and it got to the early hours of the morning.
I buzzed and explained was told oh it won't be long, another hour later and still nothing. Then someone came said I will get your anti sickness now I said to them he hasn't been sick since 10pm, they left and came back another hour and half later!
It was not even a paediatric doctor, the staff member didn't know what prescription milk is as my little boy has a milk allergy, was an absolute mess.
We eventually left the hospital at 4.45AM! It was an absolute joke.
