"The ward had a busy but calm atmosphere"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (Ward 62)

(as a relative),

My mum was admitted to Ward 62 on Tuesday 9th April after a minor stroke. She only stayed for one night and was discharged on Wednesday 20th.

My family are so thankful for the wonderful care she experienced during her time on the ward. All staff- care assistants, porters, student nurses, doctors, physiotherapists and nurses- were fantastic.

Everyone was so helpful, caring and kind. We were kept up to date with information. The ward had a busy but calm atmosphere.

Thank you to all the staff on Ward 62 for making a stressful time so much easier.

Dear Fifi546,

I am sorry to hear your mother suffered a stroke and delighted she was discharged home following an over night stay in Ward 62.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent experience and we wish your mother all the best in her recovery at home.

I will pass on your kind comments to the Senior Charge Nurse who will share with the team.

Kind Regards,

Rebecca Fulton, Lead Nurse, Older People & Stroke Services
