Recently had to call through to Bodmin Switchboard early one morning, to get through to a ward where my mum had been taken during the night.  The switchboard operator was rude, abrupt and had very poor customer services skills, refused to give me their name and was quite honestly so rude, I had to ring back several times to get through to the right place as they kept cutting the call and putting me through before I had finished speaking.  It was actually quite upsetting considering the circumstances.  Absolutely no empathy was shown whatsoever.
