"Waiting for results"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter has been having issues with a very high heart rate which resulted in her being fitted with a 24 hour holter monitor.

I called the department to ask whether the results has been reported and was advised by text message that this can take several weeks. 

I called again. The results had been reported but the staff member taking the call wasn't able to give the results over the phone.  They advised that they would email the consultant and ask that someone get in touch with me.  I still haven't heard anything.  

I don't understand why it is taking so long to hear about the results.  This is such a worrying time.  It's not helpful that it is taking so long to hear about something that could be really serious.

Hi, thank you for getting back to me. I have already left my details, last Friday. No response since then.

The staff member I spoke to was very nice and said she would email the consultant and ask her to get back to me. I'm still waiting.
