"Recovery from Bowel Cancer treatment"

About: Raigmore Hospital / Radiology

(as a service user),

I recently went for a procedure and was very anxious. The lead Consultant and the whole team explained what was going to happen and were extremely reassuring. Not the most pleasant of tests but I was spoken to throughout the procedure and continually reassured I was doing well. It ended with a great result so I’m ready for the next stage.

The team did introduce themselves and I so wish I can mention them by name. Perhaps, understandably I was focused on what was about to happen.

I wish to express my gratitude to them and for their simple commentary on what was about to happen and for their reassurance and kind comments throughout.

I was also informed what would happen post procedure which also was a comfort. Thank you to all who were involved. Being anxious as I said at the start, they were caring, informative and totally reassuring throughout.

All respect to the team.

Dear Zanmoir01!

Many apologies for the delay in replying to you, I have just returned from annual leave.

We really do appreciate you taking the time to leave this feedback, I will pass it onto the Teams involved.

Our procedures can sometimes be not the most pleasant to experience, I'm delighted to hear everything was explained to you and you felt reassured.

Kindest regards

Stephanie Adlinton

Radiology Service Manager
