I was admitted to the orthopaedic ward following an injury to my elbow which required surgery. Every aspect of my care was excellent. The domestic team had a very clean and comfortable ward ready for me. The nursing team was always friendly and attentive, day and night. They treated me with dignity and respect and I felt safe and cared for. The healthcare assistants were likewise approachable and happy to address any request. The surgical team and anaesthetist explained the procedure needed in clear terms and took time to address any questions that I had. Sister on the ward listened to me and followed up my post op query. I left with a clear idea of review needed, and an appointment in place. I feel very thankful that such a professional, empathetic and caring team was in place to care for me.
