Anything else?
I am writing a new review about my follow up treatment after a 'Colposcopy' examination which I had in September. I received a letter around 4 weeks after I had biopsy's taken explaining that I would probably need treatment. I would be untruthful if I said I wasn't worried and a bit afraid it would be painful. On arrival I was greeted by a member of staff who was lovely putting me at ease telling me the staff on duty's names etc. To the point now, the Docrtor, the fabulous lady I am so happy to be a patient of, sat me down discussed everything in clear and simple terms that my results which were luckily CIN 1. I would normally left and just monitored but my age was a big factor I am late 50's. I opted for treatment which was 'Loop excision' it was quick not painful as you have an Anaesthetic, yes you can feel something but I personally find the Mammogram worse. I just think it is a small price to pay to be rid of something that may or may not turn into something sinister. So in my case was relieved and happy to have the treatment. I just hope I can help put someone at ease even just one person! I had booked the day off work and spent the rest of the Day shopping and was fine and now have peace of mind. Thank you Doctor and lovely staff no offence hope I never see you again!
