"The kindness of a staff member at the Beatson café"

About: Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre

(as a friend),

I would like to send a huge thank you to the Beatson café staff member who was on duty today just before 4pm (apologies as we did not get name). We arrived late, because of traffic, with our neighbour for radiotherapy. This was his final treatment and he was keen to celebrate and ring the bell at café.

Café was due to close and the bell would not have been accessible, however lovely staff member remained in the dept (after her finishing time) to facilitate and also help us celebrate our neighbour being able to ring bell and get photos of this celebration.

We are so grateful for the kindness and compassion shown to us and our neighbour. What a fantastic place and service the Beatson café and all staff deliver.

Thank you so much for this kindness shown at such a difficult time for us all. It is so appreciated.

Dear PCPC, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on the kindness and compassion shown to your neighbour by the Beatson cafe staff member. I have shared this with the Beatson Cancer Charity team to share with the staff who will be so grateful for your lovely comments. Coming to the end of treatment is such a significant event for patients and I wish your neighbour all the best with his continued recovery.

Kindest regards

Margaret Gray
